Hi I’m Jon and I provide manual driving lessons in Chelmsford, Wickford and Basildon areas of Essex.
When I was learning to drive, I was very fortunate to have a good driving instructor. He taught me how to be safe and I genuinely enjoyed driving. 11 years later I have covered many miles and I am grateful for the skills I gained when I learnt to drive.
I decided to become a driving instructor after 10 years as a Manufacturing Quality Inspector. I believe that the general standard of driving is very poor and I want to make a difference to the next generation of drivers. I also have the desire to run my own business. I want every one of my pupils to learn how to be a safe and confident driver, who will be able to deal with anything. It doesn’t matter if you are learning from scratch or if you are looking for someone to help brush up your skills I am confident that us working together will help you achieve your goals. I want to teach people how to drive, not just how to pass the test.
Lessons are always conducted respectfully, in an enjoyable and friendly manner. I want my car to be a safe space where effective learning takes place. I promote that learning is only effective if everyone is enjoying the lesson.
I have always enjoyed helping other people, knowledge and experience is to be shared not hoarded. Work colleagues and friends have always found me to be helpful and clear to understand. When I said I wanted to be an instructor many people said they could easily see me being one. I also have infectious enthusiasm!
During my lessons I use the LD system. In addition to the in car tuition we provide a workbook, video content, online learning hub and a free theory app. A one stop shop for all your driving needs. I aim to make every lesson enjoyable and as productive as possible – the LD System just helps me to do this more effectively. I appreciate that not everyone learns at the same pace and I will tailor each lesson for you.
Outside of work I enjoy family time. There is always something going on in the house with wife, children and pets. We've lived in the area since 2017 and although we have explored many places, there is always somewhere new to visit!
